A man who knows who he is

I am looking for a woman for friendship, dating and possible long-term relationship. My friends describe me as intelligent and easy-going, with a good sense of humor. I am interested in the world of ideas and the arts, history and science, taking long walks, and enjoying the pleasures of hearth and home. Yet I’m also content to sit in meditation. I teach at the college level. My friends will tell you that I am fiercely loyal, affectionate and generally agreeable. I am also passionate and intense: I enjoy the pleasures of the flesh as well as the mind. My interests include reading (including science fiction), films, travel and dining. I am interested in finding a woman who is open-minded, honest and warm-hearted, a woman who wants a man she can befriend, depend on, take refuge with, and snuggle up to. To get an idea of what moves me, please read this poem by the great Persian mystic poet, Rumi: "What was told, THAT" What was said to the rose that made it open was said to me here in my chest. What was told the cypress that made it strong and straight, what was whispered the jasmine so it is what it is, whatever made sugarcane sweet, whatever was said to the inhabitants of the town of Chigil in Turkestan that makes them so handsome, whatever lets the pomegranate flower blush like a human face, that is being said to me now.
